This exciting one-week programme endorsed by the European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME) offers participants the chance to connect with professionals from around the world and build important professional skills that will impact their lives and careers.

About

The 22nd edition of our Summer School will take place in Doorn, Utrecht, the Netherlands, from the 29 June to 6 July 2024. Utrecht is among the top four largest cities in the Netherlands. It is known for its beautiful canals and parks, lively restaurants and cafes, rich museums, and historic buildings.

Featuring an experienced faculty board with a range of Clinical Microbiology (CM) and Infectious Diseases (ID) lectures, attendees will benefit from the workshop setting by having the opportunity to apply their knowledge in practical exercises. A special section in the agenda is dedicated to student presentations, offering the opportunity to share personal experiences and enhance presentation skills through feedback from recognised experts. Registration fees

Registration fees for Summer School 2024 cover the course, educational material, a seven-night stay (check-in 29 June, check-out 6 July 2023) in a twin room*, breakfasts, lunches, and coffee breaks.

*If two participants wish to share a room together this can be arranged in advance with the event secretariat.

Good to know

Participants are requested to prepare a presentation of a case or their research work as part of registration. All participants will present their cases or research projects during the course. The case/ research project should come from the professional experience of the participant, be of practical relevance and have some educational value.

We only need the title of your presentation for the registration process, and it should take 12-15 minutes, followed by a discussion of maximum 5 minutes. Please use an absolute maximum of 17 PowerPoint-type slides, with no more than 7 lines of text on a slide. Please bring your presentation on a USB stick in .pptx and PDF format to the event and save it online as a backup. Detailed guidance on the presentation itself can be found in the Guidance Document.

The 22nd edition of Summer School has been accredited by the European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME®) with 30 European CME credits (ECMEC®s).
