ESCMID membership for people from low-and lower-middle income countries (LMIC) aims to facilitate access to experts in the fields of Clinical Microbiology (CM) and Infectious Diseases (ID), regardless of background or country of origin. The LMIC membership, available at a special reduced fee, offers all the benefits of a Full membership and is valid for a duration of one year.

Eligibility criteria: Applicant needs to reside and work in one of the LMIC listed countries. you must upload proof of residency in LMIC in English. This can include one of the following: working contract/proof from employer or university, or a proof of residency in LMIC no older then one year, or a copy of home rental in your name (document must be dated within the last year), or a phone bill in your name (document must be dated within the last year). Please note copy of the passport is not sufficient.

We kindly ask that applicants living or working in one of the above countries please upload proof of residency during the registration process. The proof of residency should be provided in English and can be any of the following, not including your passport:
Reduced rate of 7 EUR per year.
The one-year ESCMID LMIC membership is valid for 365 days from subscription.
In order to avoid any interruption in your print journal deliveries, your membership must be renewed by the 5th of the month prior to the expiration of your membership. Please note that additional journal subscriptions are offered to those with paid membership subscriptions.
