Hospital-wide Vintage Campaign to Increase Awareness for Better Antimicrobial Prescribing: Antimicrobial #StewARTship

Hospital Universitario La Paz in Madrid, Spain, has launched a hospital-wide campaign to engage prescribers in the principles of prudent antimicrobial use. The campaign, coordinated by the local Antimicrobial Stewardship Team jointly with the Hospital Chief of Communications has ben designed by Producciones Pantuas

The campaign is based in 12 vintage-looking posters addressing the principles of prudent antimicrobial use. A 40’s-50’s scent has been pursued in order to fuse the golden era of antibiotics and antimicrobial stewardship because…what would have happened if we had cared of antibiotics since its deployment in clinical practice? Posters will have links (QR codes) to recommendations for prudent antimicrobial use.

The first poster, which has been attached, addresses the need to pay attention to antimicrobials, individualizing prescribing to patients’ circumstances. More posters to come soon
